Established in 2004, the Bangor Chiefs Inline Hockey Club consists of several teams of various age groups which compete in Inline Hockey Ireland (IHI) Leagues. .

The clubs players, along with their families and friends, undertook the work of renovating the clubs rink in Bangor which was officially opened in March 2006 with a guest appearance from NHL legend Theo Fleury.Unfortunately due to a fire the rink was destroyed. The Chiefs now train in the Aurora Leisure centre in Bangor. The Chiefs went on to win the first ever Senior NIIHA League Trophy for the 2005/2006 season.

From its inception, the clubs roster has continued to grow in size, consistent with the teams aim of developing from a grass roots level. This commitment has seen players from the club represent Northern Ireland at Under 14 and Under 16 level by winning the right to compete in the UK Nationals. Palyers have also represented Ireland at an international level.
